This medicine is for oral use only. Swallow this medication as a whole with water. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take this medication at a fixed time each day if it is indicated for everyday use.

  • Diabetes mellitus
Please stop using this medication if you are experiencing these symptoms and conditions.
Twynsta  Drug Interactions
Drug to drug interaction reaction of Twynsta  varies from a person to another person. It is advisable to check with your doctor about all the possible drug interactions before starting the medication.
  • Aliskiren
  • Digoxin
  • Lithium
  • Steroid
  • Ramipril
  • Simvastatin
  • Diuretics

Alcohol Warning( Not Advisable )
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Twynsta 80/10mg Tablet. Taking Twynsta 80/10mg Tablet with alcohol may worsen the side effects of Twynsta 80/10mg Tablet such as headache, dizziness and visual disturbance. Furthermore, Twynsta 80/10mg Tablet is metabolised in the liver and alcohol consumption leads to a risk of liver damage.Avoid drinking alcohol. It can further lower your blood pressure and may exaggerate some of the side effects of Twynsta 80/10mg Tablet.


Pregnancy Warning (Not Safe)
Twynsta 80/10mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits of using Twynsta 80/10mg Tablet among pregnant women outweigh the risks. Please consult your doctor. The use of Twynsta 80/10mg Tablet is not recommended in the first trimester and it is not allowed during the second and third trimester. It is proved that Twynsta 80/10mg Tablet will exert toxic effects on the human foetus during the second and third trimester.


Breastfeeding Warning ( Limited Data )
Twynsta 80/10mg Tablet is reported to be excreted into breast milk. However, the effect of the exposure towards the babies remains unknown. There is also stated that no side effects were reported with the exposure. Please consult your doctor for further details. There is no information available regarding the use of Twynsta 80/10mg Tablet during breast-feeding, therefore, it is not recommended. Alternative treatments with better-established safety profiles during breast-feeding are preferable.


Driving Warning ( Not Advisable )
Do not drive unless you are feeling well. Please consult your doctor.Twynsta 80/10mg Tablet effectively and safely reduces blood pressure and brought about the regression of proteinuria in diabetic and non-diabetic, hypertensive, proteinuric patients with chronic kidney disease, even in those with mild-to-moderate chronic renal failure.


Liver Warning ( Use With Care )
The liver disease should use Twynsta 80/10mg Tablet with caution. It is extensively metabolised in the liver. Extensive use of Twynsta 80/10mg Tablet also increases the liver enzyme. Dose adjustment of Twynsta 80/10mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Occasional elevations of liver chemistries occurred in patients treated with Twynsta 80/10mg Tablet. Dose adjustment may be required in patients with mild to moderate liver impairment. It is contraindicated in patients with severe liver impairment.
